Design the experiment, not the answer

Motion Lab

Run controlled experiments with a cart and a track: change one thing, measure what happens, compare trials, and back your claim with evidence.

Controls

  • Pointer or touchSet up a run and record a trial
  • KeyboardTake every reading and cite every claim
  • Reduce motionKeep the measurement, skip the animation

Motion Lab is a browser-first forces-and-motion game for grades 6–8, built to NGSS MS-PS2-2. Learners act as junior motion engineers: they change one thing at a time, measure the run, keep the trial as evidence, and compare trials. The scientific values come from a deterministic analytical model, never from the animation.

What you can do in this build: the experiment bench is live. Set the cart's mass, the force applied to it, its starting velocity, and how long you observe for; run it; read the instruments; and keep each run in a trials table. Missions, scoring, and graphs-as-evidence are still being built — no run is scored yet.

This is the promoted release 0.1.0-ml-host-evidence.1, served from /game-assets/motion-lab/0.1.0-ml-host-evidence.1/. It is the immutable artifact published under motion-lab/0.1.0-ml-host-evidence.1/: a later build gets its own version rather than replacing this one.
